all wedding bets are in...

... and to my great delight, the winner is ME!! (and Ina Tubbs, of course)... who predicted that in addition to doing it well, he would chat up a few people. LJ, true to form, waltzed down the aisle directly behind Miss Maggie Deckert, the groom's youngest sister, who was doing her duties as the flower girl. It was what He was saying that cracked everyone up. From time to time he would look up and whisper to whoever was near, "She's dropping the flowers. She's making a big mess..." That's the Queen's little boy right there-- if it falls down, pick it up!!

It was such a delight to see him rise to the occasion and walk patiently and calmly down the aisle-- the only hiccup came in that he went back to his seat so slowly that the next bridesmaid coming down had to wait for him to clear the runway! (Our little attention hog!)

Anyways, a full report on the wedding is coming tomorrow (including just how Elijah ended up running on the lawn unattended for fifteen minutes-- that's my fun epic fail of the day)... but here's some snapshots of the festivities...

Bridesmaids-- My sisters Catherine and Kristin.

Elijah strutting his pre-performance finery:

The beautiful bride herself!!!!

And one of my favorite reception memories-- this would be LJ's face (or something like it) after he knocked his glass three feet off the table :)

A beautiful wedding-- today, we all recover!!

  1. I must say the little goober did quite well. And I'm certainly excited to have a reason to get him back into his adorable little wedding outfit again! :)
